The echosphere is reporting that the iPhone may be launched in China, like, any second now. Some of the top clues people are citing include:

1. There’s a new Hunan-Szechuan Restaurant in San Jose.

2. Master Jobst Fimil has started addressing everyone in the office by their title, followed by “san.”

3. David Carradine is finally done with the YellowBook ads.

4. Kung Fu Panda is available on Blu-Ray.

5. Apple has posted a job opening with “able to eat with chopsticks without looking like a pandering guilt-ridden elitist lily-white liberal prick” as a qualification.

I’m thinking it must be pretty much of a done deal.

Also, iPhone 2.2 is coming out soon. It’s widely expected to have “copy and paste.” That will be good because, finally, the iPhone will be able to gain some market traction once it has that one vital feature. Then maybe, just maybe, the iPhone will be able to compete with some of the more “mainstream” smartphones.

Also, since China’s tech geeks use copy and paste extensively to move American software without paying American developers, copy and paste will be an important feature for a Chinese iPhone launch.

Just sayin’.

Safari 3.2 is available. I have it. It’s more secure. It has anti-phishing stuff in it. HAHAHAHAHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Phishing appeals to lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride. Software can’t protect you if any of those are motivators for you. The Phishermen will win.

Sorry. That’s just how it is.

The BlackBerry Storm will be introduced on November 21, if reports can be believed. They can’t, but it might hit the streets on time.

The first reader to send in a picture of a jubilant shopper showing off his new Storm to the envious line of waiting buyers wearing ponchos and plastic bags to protect themselves from the elements, wins a free, all expenses paid trip to the nearest McDonalds. I’ll find a way to ship you a gift certificate for a free Happy Meal.

I don’t know how you do that, but I’ll figure it out if it comes up.

Also, I’ll post the picture if it isn’t too obviously Photoshopped.

Tomorrow is opening night for Children of Eden. Six shows. One pickup rehearsal next week. Then it’s over. I think I may treat myself to a weekend off in December.

Do you know the difference between an investment banker and a large pizza?

A large pizza can still feed a family of four.

I am SO going to bed.

A blackberry storm sounds okay if it’s just the fruit. If the thorns are included then forget it.
