Did We Not Just Discuss This?

June 23rd, 2009 · 9 Comments · General Detritus

The frigging financial press is going absolutely gaga with a discussion that is over a year old, and still absurd. The unsubstantiated honking about The Master’s Liver Transplant proceeds unabated. Morons.

The question everyone is pissing on each others’ shoes about is: How much is Apple obligated to tell us about Steve Jobs?

The answer: Nothing.

Tim Cook is the CEO. The Management Team that Master Jobst Fimil built is functioning like a well oiled machine. Steve Jobs is on medical leave. The iPhone is selling like contraband m&ms at a fat farm.

Can we move on now?

This blog will never present a single fact about Jon or Kate.

1. I have no earthly idea why they’re famous.

2. I don’t give a shit.

3. You don’t give a shit.

Oh yeah. Chris Brown and Rihanna, too.

Tonight’s musical selection by jas….

She says it’s a good video, and I’m smart enough not to argue with her.

    RE: Jon & Kate:

I could give you an explanation that would resolve point 1 for you. I was going to but then I remembered points 2 and 3.

I almost forgot… On Steve Jobs’ alleged new liver…

Letterman actually made me chuckle last night. (He lost me a few years ago after nearly two decades of my thinking he was the funniest guy in late night; I rarely watch him these days.)

In his monologue he reported the Jobs liver transplant as fact to set up a multi-part joke that almost made me laugh out loud. He said Jobs new liver is smaller, more efficient and holds 10,000 enzymes. But there will be a new model out in September that makes it obsolete.

    I was mildly amused.

Thanks for posting my music video! Mom misses you…get back home so she stops bugging me. And I don’t think anyone with any amount of usable brain power should be even remotely concerned about the idiotic fiasco that is Jon&Kate+8. It’s just depressing.

I do hope that someday we can have a TV show where people might learn to do better in their lives, like how to keep a marriage working, how to make a life not just a reality TV show, and how to raise children to be hardworking & ethical people in the world. Sadly, people don’t watch those kinds of shows, and the people who are like this aren’t signing contracts to be taped throughout their lives.

Anyways, I’m done ranting. I am going back to my regularly scheduled program of sitting and doing nothing. Have fun in San Antonio.

    Who are these peeps?

Over at the Furball, Gruber is having “schadenfreude” orgasms over Mark Sanford’s disappearance. He seems to think infidelity is the same thing as perjury.

In the very next post, he is shocked… shocked, I tell you, to find out that his beloved New York Times has a teeny bit of an ethics problem.

    Talk about schadenfreude.

Ok so i wiki’d Jon & Kate (thankfully not all US programming is broadcast down under). Your 3 points are very valid. Thanks for the heads up!

May I make a suggestion re embedded music clips? Try these two songs by Flash and the Pan.

    “Hey, St. Peter” (1977/8)

“And the Band Played On (Down Among The Dead Men)” (1978)

Great Aussie music from a band with a strong Aussie music lineage.
